Belmora Journal
01 / Origin

The Publication

Belmora Journal is an independent editorial publication based in London. The journal covers everyday nutrition, seasonal cooking, balanced meals, and the evidence-informed practices that sit behind long-term wellbeing — without the urgency or anxiety that characterises most wellness media.

02 / Purpose

Why This Journal Exists

The volume of nutrition content published online grows each year, but editorial quality has not kept pace. Much of what circulates — on social platforms, in listicles, in product-adjacent editorial — is shaped by commercial interests, trend cycles, or the structural pressure to produce content at a pace incompatible with genuine research engagement.

Belmora Journal was established as a counterpoint to that pattern. Each article published here is researched from published sources — peer-reviewed nutrition research, dietary guidelines from recognised bodies, and practitioner consensus — and written by contributors who engage with the subject as a genuine area of study rather than a content format.

The publication does not accept commercial relationships that would influence editorial direction. It is supported by reader engagement alone.

03 / Approach

The Editorial Approach

Articles are written for a reader who is already engaged with the subject and does not require persuasion of the value of eating well. The writing assumes literacy without assuming specialism. The editorial voice is observational rather than prescriptive — the journal describes patterns, presents research, and draws practical inferences without telling the reader what to do.

Sources are cited where appropriate. Corrections are noted publicly. Writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter. These are not policies adopted for appearance; they are the minimum conditions for editorial credibility.

Belmora Journal is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

05 / Standards

Editorial Principles

Belmora Journal operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

01
Source Transparency

Published sources are cited within articles. Where a claim relies on a single study, that limitation is noted in the text.

02
Editorial Independence

No commercial relationships influence the selection of topics, the conclusions reached, or the language used in any article.

03
Correction Policy

Errors of fact are corrected with a dated note appended to the original article. Corrections are not deleted or concealed.

04
Dual Review

Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication for factual accuracy, source integrity, and editorial register.
